What Does it Cost?

What Does Social Security Disability Representation Cost?

The Social Security Administration determines the fee that any representative can charge and limits those fees to 25% of the retroactive award, not to exceed $6,000. The faster your application get’s approved the less the will be because the retroactive payment will be smaller.

Your Advocate will explain all this to you carefully and you will sign a fee agreement that will be submitted to SSA along with your Disability application.

You only pay a fee if you are awarded Disability Benefits. We never charge for expenses such as travel, coping, postage or collecting medical records.

You should know that some third party organizations pay for the cost of SSDI representation.   Some long-term disability insurance carriers, employers and healthcare providers provide this service at no cost to. You should check with your employer to see if such options are available.   No fee can be collected unless the Social Security Administration first authorizes it. After you have been awarded disability benefits, the Social Security Administration will provide you with a letter telling you exactly what the representative fee will be.

Fee Example:
Monthly SSDI Award: $950 (no fee’s apply)
Retroactive period: 16 months
Retroactive payment: $15,200
Our fee: $3,800 (may not exceed 25% of the retro payment and capped at $6,000)
